PHYSICAL HEALTH TEST FOR SPECIFIC HEALTH DISORDERS
In test for physical health, the modality of assessment differs greatly depending on the presentation of the individual, patient or client.
Test for Physical Health on Cardiovascular Function
The cardiac assessment should be checked at least once a week to maintain a healthy life. The assessment comprises of
General Appearance: this part of the assessment evaluates the persons level of consciousness (alert, lethargic, stuporous, comatose) and mental status (oriented to person, place, time e.t.c). The Nurse notes the size of the patient (normal, overweight, underweight or cachectic). The persons height as well as the weight which is calculated by body mass index (BMI), and the waist circumference of the patient is important as well. These measures are used to determine obesity (BMI grater than 30kg(m2)

Inspection of the skin: Examination begins with assessment of the patients general appearance. It includes all body surfaces starting with the upper extremities and finishing at the lower extremities to check for pallor, peripheral cyanosis, and xanthelasma e.t.c.
Blood pressure: The blood pressure is checked using the sphygmomanometer and the stethoscope. This is done to detect abnormalities like hypertension, hypotension, e.t.c.
